Former principal Sandip Ghosh falters during CBI quizzing

Kolkata doctor rape murder case: The CBI questioned Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Medical College, for the fourth day in a row on Monday. Ghosh left the CBI office at the CGO complex in Salt Lake after midnight on Sunday, only to return at 10:30 am the following day.

Kolkata doctor rape murder case: The interrogation on Monday lasted well into the night. Despite Ghosh’s persistent claims of having no involvement in the rape and murder of the 31-year-old PGT doctor, the CBI officers questioned him based on statements provided by other witnesses.

Ghosh was unable to explain how Sanjay Roy, a civic volunteer who has been arrested in connection with the case, had unrestricted access to the hospital. Furthermore, he failed to provide a satisfactory reason for the rushed renovation of the hall adjacent to the seminar hall where the crime took place.

Kolkata doctor rape murder case: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) continued with its probe on Tuesday regarding the alleged rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. According to CBI sources, the agency has obtained authorization to administer a polygraph test on the apprehended suspect.

Kolkata doctor rape murder case: Prominent artists from the Bengal music industry staged a protest on Monday, demanding justice for the alleged rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Actor Saheb Chatterjee, radio personality Mir Afsar Ali, and others took to the streets on Monday evening to voice their outrage over the incident.

Kolkata doctor rape murder case: In an interview with ANI, actor-singer Saheb Chatterjee shared his sentiments, stating, “Bring the culprits in front of everyone and give them maximum punishment,

which will remain an example that in the future people will think twice before doing such an act. This is such a big issue. This is not only India’s or Kolkata’s issue but an international one. We are here to protest and demand justice. We need complete justice; we don’t want half-truth.”
